Please pray for archeologists as they continue to uncover evidence of the history of Israel that demonstrates the connection between the Jewish people and the ancient homeland of the Jews—Israel. Most recently, a limestone column drum that dates back to the Second Temple period, was discovered in an excavation site in Jerusalem containing the words: “Hanania son of Dudolos from Jerusalem”. This is significant because the inscription dates to some 2,000 years ago, showing that the city was referred to by this name and in Hebrew at that time. A Hebrew inscription and containing the name Jerusalem is just one more piece of evidence demonstrating that the Jewish people have called Jerusalem home since ancient times.
